Whoosh……..that’ll be the weekend then!!!

images (4)Well I thought last weekend went fast, this one must be a world record. But that’s the joys of studying and working all at the same. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed Uni yesterday, in fact I’d go as far as to say it was the best one so far. Plenty of talking by us, instead of listening to the lecturers, meant the day flew by, I never looked at my watch once and before I knew it I was home. Granted I was knackered, but it was a happy knackered, if you can have such a thing. So on to today which was all about reading and research, I’ve got lots done and even managed to squeeze in some time on the exercise bike and my physio exercises – time to chill I think, it’ll be morning before I know it.

Great if tiring weekend, managed to fit the exercise in -just.

Back in the pool in the morning.

Bring it on!!

There it was ……..gone!!

Why is it the weekend goes so flaming fast, blink and you’ve missed it. Take today for example – by the time I’d done everything I needed to do it was six o clock, I never even made it to the gym, granted, I had a lie in while nine, but it was needed after another night of howling winds!! Still, furniture removal and vigorous housework (that’s what it say on my fitness pal app!!) must count as some kind of exercise, so it will have to do.
Lots of exercise logged this week
Hopefully the scales have moved in the right direction
Bring it on!!!

Officially a Fattie

images2S2GLABSSo Janathon day five, and if going back to work  wasn’t enough of a shock to the system, I  foolishly decided to get on the scales, not once, but twice, what was I thinking?!?!?  I’m not usually one for getting weighed I usually just rely on how my clothes feel, but having been out of action for nearly 8 weeks I decided I needed to know just how bad things were – I wish I’d never bothered.  Compared to my usual weight I a now officially a fat chuffer, still on the plus side it is probably the kick up the backside I need to keep me at the gym and eating healthily. Lets hope the weight goes off as quickly as it came on.

Gym session done

Cycling to work tomorrow

A Solar Situation…….

Wednesday and I’m contemplating a glass of wine, a large glass of wine. It’s been a long day, made even longer by the visit of a ‘not a clue what I’m on about’ Solar salesman.
To be fair, it was kind of my fault that he was here, I don’t usually fall for those that ring up to sell you stuff, but this time I did. Well who wouldn’t, Solar panels fitted free of charge as long as you return unused electric to the National Grid, it sounded plausible! It would have been if we had a roof the size of the street!!
Things didn’t bode well when I opened the door to a salesman the same age as my dad ( no offence dad) i.e. a tad old, just to add to the fun he told us he only started on Monday- joy!!
Things didn’t get any better, he didn’t know how to work his laptop, wish I’d never shown him, we had to endure a promised ‘only ten minute’ power point that lasted half an hour and the poor guy kept mixing up his transformers, inverters and his figures. Apparently 5.4 is half of 14.9…..
It got worse, hubby, who is hopeless at hiding his feelings, began to tut, sigh and stomp about, the endless spiel about how the panels, that are made in Wales unlike those cheap Chinese ones, but come from Japan, didn’t need sun only daylight and how they wouldn’t cost us a penny – yeah right!!
So after much pressing of buttons it seemed we could save a fortune, as long as we only turned our electric blanket on during daylight hours ( he really said that!!) and only used all other appliances prior to sunset!!
The nail in the coffin came when it became apparent it was going to cost us another £200 a month over the next 25 years to pay for the free panels. The salesmans reason for this -our house doesn’t face the sun. At which point hubby’s voice went up an octave as he chunttered about the not ‘needing sun’ panels and I had to retreat to the kitchen, crying with laughter. We’ll stick to mega fuel bills from now on!!!
What a day
Dressing as a giraffe tomorrow ( no really!)
Bring it on!!

Bleeuurghhh…………….

blephcartoonWell I was going to give you a full run down on yesterdays great win and how some idiotic git nearly ruined my day . But, alas, the school lurgy as finally got me and I’m sat here streaming. My ears are bunged up and I feel like I’ve been kicked in the face. What possessed me to go into work i’ll never know – I thought I’d get better as the day went on. Oh well looks like an early night is called for.

Well I nearly beat the school lurgy

More vitamin c needed

Bring it on
