A Little Flat and Muddy or is it Moody…………….

So at the moment my kitchen floor is covered in mud, my washer is full of sludge and as for the bottom of the bath – yuck. Ridiculous amounts of rain over the last few days meant Jack came home from rugby training looking like he’d been swimming in a swamp – and as for the smell, poor little Archie (my car) stinks. Winter Rugby is back -joy!!

The mud has only added to my grumpy mood – not really sure why I feel so grumpy but Boris getting a flat tyre on the way home didn’t help. Did a piece of glass really need to stick itself  in my bike tyre when I’m pushed for time as it is.Thankfully I only had a mile to walk home – and no I didn’t have a puncture repair kit with me (like I’d know what to do with it!!) Still the bikes mended and the muds nearly gone time for the mood to lift I think.

A little run in the morning

and a swim after work

Bring it on.

Boris, Morris and Bloody ‘ell We Won………………

So today we were up and off before 9:30 on another bike ride – what happened to Sunday Morning Lie-ins. It was a bit of a made up route. The first bit to show Ernie a longer way to work and the second part was to find the start of an off-road route to do on another day. We ended up taking the off -road route (very wet and muddy off road route) All was going well until we took a wrong turn – granted we found the way eventually – only it was a different way to planned straight up a bloody big mountain hill – great. Still we survived, just. Until, that is we got a puncture. Was it nearly new ‘Old Boris’ od Morris the Mega Bike? Well it wasn’t Boris. We had to walk the last 2 mile home. Still 10 miles done altogether – our furthest yet!

Once showered and mud free – again, it was time to tackle another mountain – the ironing one, while Ernie tried to sort out his flat tyre. The nasty thorns had well and truly killed it!!  Hence a quick trip to Halfords for a new inner tube and a puncture repair kit!! Three hours later the mountain was conquered and Ernie was dealing with the effects of a traumatic puncture – yep he was sending  Zzz’s out in the garden………………

Tonight saw us head to Belle Vue to watch the Mighty Wakefield take on Widnes, if we won it was a chance to make the playoffs. Well we won – the hard way. I’ve no nails left. To say we played badly is an understatement – but a wins a win- lets hope we play better against Salford next week.

So thats the School Holidays over – back to work tomorrow – boo! But it’s been a fab holidays, full run down of the best bits tomorrow.

10 miles cycled

Back to work tomorrow

Bring it On – maybe!
