Back From the Land of Far Far Away……………Inspired

So we’re back from a fab weekend away, the washers on double time and the suitcases are away  -for the time being at least. The few days away ended with a trip to the Theatre Royal to see Shrek the Musical, it was awesome. I’ve loved musicals for as long as I remember but it’s the first time I’ve ever seen one in London – it’s an experience I will definitely be repeating. I’m not sure I’ll be repeating the 2 rounds of drinks at £44 though – nearly cost as much as the tickets!!

It’s been an inspiring weekend all round really – the rugby, the musical, the sights and sounds in London but the thing that inspired me most was something we came across by accident. We had gone to Tower Bridge to take a look at the Agitos (paralympic symbol) hanging there.  On the riverside was an exhibition by the photographer Tom Stoddart- iWITNESS. His photos, all black and white, were mind-blowing. I love black and white photos and love taking them, now I know I need to keep taking them. I’ll probably never get the chance to take the pictures he has – and I’m not sure I’d want to take some of them looking at the places he’s seen but I know I’m on the right track. So if you see some saddo sat on a precinct somewhere taking random photos – it will probably be me.

Managed a 6 mile run despite feeling knackered

Catching up with the housework tomorrow – joy!!!

Bring it on
